
Dr. Cristina Thomas is an assistant professor in the Department of Astronomy and Planetary Science at Northern Arizona University. Her research focuses on observations of asteroids to investigate composition, space weathering, and rotational properties. She primarily uses ground based observing facilities such as the NASA IRTF and SOAR. She is also the lead of the DART (Double Asteroid Redirection Test) Observations Working Group and is involved in Guaranteed Time Observations on the upcoming James Webb Space Telescope.
